Scope & Revisions

No surprises. This is what is included, what costs extra, and how we keep projects moving.

What is included

Every SBTC project quote defines the deliverables, page count, platform, and support period before work starts. What is in scope is in writing.

Design & Build

Custom layout, typography, color system, mobile optimization, contact form, and basic SEO setup tied to the agreed page count.

Revisions

Two rounds of revisions are included. Feedback is collected, changes are made, and the next draft is delivered for review.

Post-Launch Support

Thirty days of bug fixes and minor tweaks after launch. Does not include new pages or features unless scoped separately.

A third revision round is available for $200 if the first two rounds did not get us across the finish line. This is rare, but it is an option.

Revision vs Scope Change

Revisions refine what was already scoped. Scope changes add new work. Here is the difference.

Revisions (included)

  • Color, font, or spacing tweaks within the agreed design direction
  • Copy edits and headline rewrites on scoped pages
  • Image swaps using assets you provide
  • Small layout adjustments to existing sections

Scope Changes (quoted separately)

  • Adding pages after the quote is approved
  • New features: ecommerce, booking systems, membership areas, custom integrations
  • Platform migration mid-project
  • Brand redesign after the first design round is approved
  • Copywriting from scratch (if not included in the original scope)

If a request crosses into scope-change territory, Seth will flag it, explain why, and quote the addition before doing the work. No hidden charges.

Turnaround Times

Speed depends on scope, feedback timing, and asset delivery. These are typical ranges, not guarantees.

  • First draft: 3 to 7 business days after content and assets are received.
  • Revision rounds: 2 to 3 business days per round, depending on complexity.
  • Full project: 5 to 14 business days for standard builds. Complex projects are quoted separately.
  • Rush requests: Possible for an additional fee if the schedule allows. Ask before assuming.

Communication

Clear communication keeps projects on track. Here is how it works.

  • Primary channel: Email. All feedback, approvals, and questions go through email so there is a record.
  • Complex feedback: If a revision is hard to explain in text, record a short Loom video and send the link. Seth reviews it and replies with a plan.
  • Calls: Available by request for project kickoff or complex troubleshooting. Not required for every revision.
  • Response time: Typical reply within 2 business days.

Cancellation Policy

Projects can be cancelled, but deposits are handled fairly based on work completed.

  • Before work starts: Full deposit refund, minus any processing fees.
  • After first draft is delivered: 50% deposit retained to cover work completed. The remainder is refunded.
  • After final approval: No refund. The project is considered complete.
  • Ongoing care plans: Cancel anytime. The current month is not prorated.

If cancellation is due to a delay on Seth's side, the deposit is refunded in full.

Questions about your specific project? Send the details and Seth will flag any scope risks upfront.
